SERIOUS FUN FOR ADHD, LD, AND PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT

Scientists at NASA Langley Research Center researched and developed technologies using physiological measures for assessing sustained attention, engagement, awareness, and pilot stress in laboratory flight simulators. Soon they recognized that these flight simulators were very similar to video games.

At the same time neurotherapists, equipment engineers, and software programmers were developing more and more sophisticated neurofeedback protocols and display screens to treat children and adults with ADHD and other conditions. One of the challenges with children is in keeping them engaged in the feedback task.

The marriage of the two technologies was a significant step in the evolution of neurofeedback as a fun, effective, and practical solution for parents who don't want to put their children on drugs. Home training makes it an even more attractive and afordable option. Kids love it!

HOW IT WORKS

S.M.A.R.T. BrainGames CyberLearning Technologyincorporates exclusive NASA Patented Technology with off-the-shelf video games to produce both clinical and home based products for improving mental awareness and optimal brain function. The SBG Clinical Training Device (SMART Box) is designed for maximum protocol flexibility, providing seemless video game play. Clients immediately see, feel, and hear the effect that transitory changes in attention have on game play. Successful game performance depends on sustained attention. New training displays are as simple as putting in a new video game, maintaining maximum interest, engagement, enjoyment, and compliance, leading to increased success.

Dr. Rozelle is one of a select group of exclusive network providers for SMART Brain Games. The system is designed for clinic or home use after careful assessment and protocol development.
